A Glimpse into the History of Our Organic Farm in Saalfelden
Our traditional organic farm in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer looks back on a long and proud history. The foundations of our farmhouse are more than 300 years old, and according to historical records, our family has been farming here since 1844.
Generation after generation, we have worked with dedication, built, and developed our home – always with the goal of preserving tradition while creating space for new ideas.
Over time, the original farmhouse has been transformed into a cosy retreat offering both relaxation and comfort. Step by step, we have expanded and modernised our home – adding guest rooms with private bathrooms (shower and WC) – always with the aim of providing you with a nature-based and relaxing farm holiday.
An extension was built onto the existing house, creating two bright, modern holiday apartments with separate entrances. These apartments are lovingly furnished and fully equipped. Here you’ll find everything you need for your farm holiday: plenty of space, natural materials, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Our entire house is heated in an eco-friendly way using a wood-burning stove, ensuring a comfortable warmth even on cool or rainy days.
A special highlight of our farm is the small farm chapel with a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary and meditative Stations of the Cross. It is a place of peace and stillness – a spot to pause, recharge, and feel the special energy that surrounds it.
